Age classification

The age classification for our film trailer would be 12 and upwards. The British Board of Film Classification quotes,

'Violence: Moderate violence is allowed but should not dwell on detail. There should be no emphasis on injuries or blood, but occasional gory moments may be permitted if justified by the context. Sexual violence may only be implied or briefly and discreetly indicated, and must have a strong contextual justification.'
This appeals to our film as it would be appropiate to our target audience, and the limit we can go to putting things into our film trailer. With the genre of the film trailer being action, violence is important into the extent of the violence in the film.

It is good that you are thinking about this but what evidence do you have?

Have you looked at the BBFC website and are you aware of what the requirements are to meet each age classification?

Perhaps do some research on the BBFC before deciding on the age and be prepared to review this classification after you have made your trailer.
